Burnell (Ian) Hobson started his teaching career at the R.T. Hudson School in 1997. He is a 3rd generation Adventist, and the son of the founder of St. Peters Primary School in Antigua.

He is the Physical Education teacher for Northeastern Adventist Academy-Brooklyn Campus and Westchester Campus since 2001.

His  passion is music, choir, songwriting and drama.

He coaches basketball and volleyball players.

In music, Mr. Hobson won the McDonald Gospel Fest 3 times with 3 different groups: Azza Mass Choir, Last Appeal and R.T. Hudson School Choir. As a result he became one of the judges of the Fest for 3 years.

Fun fact: Ardent domino player.

He says, ” I love to teach P.E. to the children because I believe in the wholestic philosophy of Adventist Education (mind, body and soul).
